Laura Livermore …
“Silk by Laura”
Laura's art is inspired by her adventures of living and
traveling throughout Europe, sailing across the Atlantic, going on safari in
Africa, working on a dude ranch in Wyoming, exploring the pyramids in Egypt
and scouting Indian ruins in Santa Fe. These experiences contribute both
subtly and boldly to her designs through colors, patterns, textures, scenes
and style.
Laura is a passionate artist who puts a bit of her heart and
soul into each piece.
Her artwork combines the beauty of
the world with the practical side of life.
Her silks can be displayed
as
treasured works of art or worn as luxurious accessories or
even better, both!

"Most
people paint on paper or canvas...for some reason I paint on silk. I
stumbled on this art form while living in Germany (I had never even heard
of silk painting). I have not been able to stop! To paint with
dyes, directly on to the silk is a magical experience! The
possibilities are infinite."
